Heartfelt Gratitude for all at "Living Green for a Cause"
We had an amazing "Living Green for a Cause" anniversary! So many of you brought lots of donations so that each family received 2 full bags of mostly organic groceries. Your donation went to six families from Bhutan, Eritrea, Burma, Burundi, and Latin American family at Los Mujeres Latinas en Acion, and family at Grace Evangelical Church.
One of the families, a widow with three children, invited us to sit in her home and listen to her story. Because of your support we made her family happy. Thank you!!
Community Effort
"Living Green for a Cause" was successful because of suport of our friends Ruben, Juliana and Juan who helped plan party and find families. Many thanks to our talented friends! Josh opened party with his soulful guitar music. Hugo provided great live music that got everyone dancing bachata and more. Yaasha's awesome samba lesson was a hit just watch the video. Manuela demonstrated how to make bruschetta. Carlos and Ruth danced our Unieros dance. With the help of tech Alex, friends from countries like Colombia, Jamaica, and Brazil watched the party live on our Livestream channel. Thanks to Jennifer, Hilary, Adrienne and Multilingual Chicago for use of space.
