RSVP by Wednesday, January 25th email hilary@multilingualchicago.com

Join Multilingual Chicago in welcoming Michael Erard, author of Babel No More: The Search for the World’s Most Extraordinary Language Learners.

Michael is a writer and journalist with a passion for language and culture. His work has been published in The New York Times, Science, Wired, Slate, The Atlantic and he has a regular blog at Psychology Today. His first book, Um…; Slips, Stumbles and Verbal Blunders, and What They Mean is a natural history of slips of the tongue, speech disfluencies and other things we wish we didn’t say, but do. His new book Babel No More: The Search for the World’s Most Extraordinary Language Learners (Free Press, 2012), is a search for the upper limits of the ability to learn, speak, and use languages.
